Joint integrity

What is this thermal memory then? It’s the product’s ‘shrink-back’ effect; after bending or expanding the pipe returns to its original location. A PEX ring is fitted over the pipe; both the pipe and the ring are slowly expanded using the Uponor fitting gun and pushed on to a QE fitting. The pipe and ring then shrink back to their original positions creating a water tight seal between the pipe and fitting.
