Dudley Advance II
On the 21st November, Uponor UK’S James Griffiths will provide an overview of how TABS (Thermally Active Building System) works to a select group of CIBSE engineers and interested stakeholders. This will be explained in the context of the Dudley College project, which was nominated for a H&V award in April of this year.
The Dudley College building is a teaching centre for advanced construction methods and technologies. It is the first project to be built using the Integrated Project Insurance (IPI) Procurement & Delivery model, which puts collaboration at the heart of the design and construction process.
There will also be the opportunity for other key partners in the project to explain how a collaborative approach combined with advanced BIM technology led to a successful outcome.
Dudley College project in a nutshell:
- £12million project
- 3500m2 building
- Thermal modelling data was used to estimate the heating and cooling requirements
