Drinking water delivery

New quality standard for composite pipes

Multi-layer Composite Pipes- a step ahead in plumbing solutions!

Our Multilayer composite pipes (MLCP) contain five layers and unite the advantages of a metal and plastic pipe, whilst eliminating the disadvantages of both materials at the same time. This offers product advantages that are second to none. The aluminium core prevents oxygen ingress, reduces heat-expansion and gives form-stability for easy and safe installation. For potable water connection the Uponor MLCP press system is the perfect solution to meet nearly all requirements. The complete range of products allows for the entire installation from the riser to the tap/radiator, in a simple and economic manner.

All layers are permanently bonded together by intermediate adhesive layers. A special welding technique ensures high reliability. The result is a pipe which is absolutely oxygen diffusion tight, corrosion resistant and has a heat expansion similar to metal pipes and thus fulfills all hygienic safety requirements needed for safe tap water installation. The excellent long-run behaviour has been tested and confirmed by certification bodies all over Europe.

MLCP sets new standards with respect to performance and functionality. It supports your building projects with quick and efficient plumbing installation. No matter whether you use MLCP for on-wall or in-wall mounting, for drinking water delivery or for radiator connections, we always have a suitable system solution for you.

Modular Riser system

Effective way for the installation of risers

With the Uponor modular Riser System the installation is no longer a complex task.
The innovative Uponor modular Riser System reduces both your planning and construction work, because there are fewer building components to store, process and plan for. It is also quicker and easier to connect pipes.

Uponor modular Riser System MLCP fitting uses just 40 parts to achieve more than 300 fitting combinations, up to 110mm, and features a distinctive “click and lock” mechanism which removes the need for overhead pressing.

With the Uponor modular Riser System you will get new possibilities for everything from planning to installation.

Riser fittings

Key features

RTM fittings

RTM tool free fittings

RTM joints are available in 16mm to 25mm diameters and are colour coded to show at-a-glance which size to select. This saves you time and avoids any chance of error. The end result is a safe, professional job you’ll be proud of. Every RTM connection is quick and easy to make. Simply insert our MLC pipe into the fitting until you hear the distinctive click. This indicates that a secure joint has been made. You also have visual proof of success thanks to the 360º window, so once fitted you can forget it.

With RTM Ring Tension Memory you can forget all about soldering and pipe wrenches. The high carbon steel spring ring acts as the tool itself, applying even pressure around the pipe. Through its inherent memory it then cleverly maintains this pressure, absorbing temperature fluctuations to ensure a sound watertight joint at all times.

The revolutionary RTM™ fitting. No leaks. No tools. No equal.

Serial and Loop Installation with Smart Ends

Serial Installation

The serial installation prevents the
collection of stagnation water in
the feed lines of consumers that are
rarely in use, e.g. outdoor taps in
a single-family home, or a washing
machine connection in the shared
laundry of a multi-family property.

In this system, the consumers are
connected by means of Uponor
U-end elbows that are routed
directly to the next consumer,
therefore excluding any stagnation
of the water in the system if the
plan is to install the consumer that
is used most frequently, usually the
toilet fl ushing or basin at the end
of the serial installation.

This means that the last consumer
propagates the exchange of water
at the upstream piping and taps.

Loop installation

The Uponor U-end elbows are also
used to connect the taps to the
loop installation and to route the
multi layer composite pipes directly
to the next tap

However, the piping is routed back
from the last object to the riser
pipe. The loop installation system is
therefore hygienically impeccable,
thanks to the optimised turnover of
water in the piping.

In order to achieve a consistent
hygienic flow in the loop
installation, it is advisable to select
a pipe with the same diameter as
far as possible and less than that of
the serial installation, as the objects
are supplied from both sides.

Compared to the serial installation,
the lower pressure losses allows you
to signifi cantly increase the number
of tap outlets per installation
